Homeowners in Florida Left in the dark…

The Florida department of financial services, (The state Office of Insurance Regulation) told Floridians  today that they are conditionally approving  the request to let State Farm insurance carrier leave the state.  They were told with specific purpose that the company may withdraw under some of the following conditions:

1.  State Farm must allow its agents and agencies to sell homeowners policies from other carriers

2.  State Farm may not place any of its policies the states high risk pool Citizens property Insurance Corp., the overburdened state-run carrier of last resort. (Which is overflowing with issues today)
